On February 11, 2025, Fact Focus was alerted by a European media and internet security organization that it had received an email from an official Fact Focus account. The email falsely claimed that the founder of the Fact Focus had been removed from the organization and instructed the recipient to cease all contact with him. This organization had been providing hosting, internet security, and forensic investigation services to Fact Focus.

It was immediately clear that this communication was fraudulent and a criminal act. As a result, criminal complaints have been filed in two separate jurisdictions in the U.S. and Europe, with the necessary documentation being submitted to the authorities.

While the perpetrators remain unidentified, relevant organizations are assisting in gathering technical evidence, which is being shared with law enforcement. Fact Focus will continue to update its readers as new developments emerge.

Upon discovering the breach, our team acted swiftly to secure our access and data. We have since restored all affected services and implemented enhanced security measures to prevent future incidents. Our websites are now fully operational. On the same day, content similar to the email sent to the European organization was also posted without authorization on Fact Focus’s official Twitter account. This is a different issue and thus a separate statement regarding the Twitter account will be issued shortly.
