Fact Focus calls COAS Gen Qamar Bajwa to specifically state which property is wrongly attributed to him

Fact Focus states that General Qamar Bajwa should not use ISPR to dodge people and clearly identify what is in the story about his assets is wrong.

Fact Focus calls upon army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to come up with any single asset or property wrongly attributed to him, his wife, his daughter-in-law, or any of his family members instead of using ISPR to issue twisted and dodgy statements.

Fact Focus stands by each and every point of its story and asks General Bajwa to specifically point out any misstatement in the story and present evidence as Fact Focus has presented every fact by producing undeniable documentary evidence.

As to when these assets were made, it is clear from a letter written by Ayesha Amjad to FBR certifying that she had no income before the financial year 2016. She wrote this when she suddenly declared an income of Rs6.96 million and was asked by FBR officials about the source of this income. Mahnoor became a filer and a billionaire simply nine days before her marriage to Saad Bajwa. A timeline of acquiring assets by Sabir Hameed (Mithu) is evident from his tax record shared by Fact Focus in the story.

April 02, 2018 letter written by Ayesha Amjad to FBR admitting she had no income before 2016.

No media house in Pakistan is allowed to air the Fact Focus story about assets accumulated by COAS General Bajwa. Media houses working as proxies of ISPR have released the ISPR’s statement without even speaking to Fact Focus. The PMLN government blocked the website of Fact Focus in Pakistan immediately after the release of the story on November 20. The website was restored the next day because of public pressure but there are several errors on the networks of different providers across the country and some users are still facing difficulties in accessing the website. This also slowed down the process of uploading of remaining documents pertaining to family members of Sabir Hameed (Mithu). Fact Focus will release all the remaining documents today. It is an open secret that Sabir Hameed (Mithu) ruled government departments and the real estate sector in Punjab for six years in the name of the army chief General Qamar Bajwa for six years. Fact Focus has only provided people with the documentary evidence on this count.

As ISPR has talked of transparency in its release, it is expected that now it will release the complete tax returns and wealth statements of COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his two sons, Saad Bajwa and Ali Bajwa. If the wealth statements of legislators can be released, there can’t be any problem with the release of the wealth statements of the army chief and his family. Last year, Fact Focus reported a story narrating details of the business ventures of the first cousins of General Qamar Javed Bajwa with Malik Riaz and the central characters of the Broadsheet scandal. The story explained how Col (R) Naeem Ghumman, cousin of General Bajwa, was set to launch his own airline with the name Gwadar Air while he was having a very weak financial background. Fact Focus will also release the financial documents of all these members of the Bajwa family today.

ISPR is not responding to Fact Focus questions and only issuing releases to its controlled media houses. Director General ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar hasn’t even responded to Fact Focus questions about a connected issue of meeting between COAS General Qamar Bajwa and the head of ARY Salman Iqbal in the United States in the first week of October, a few days before the murder of Arshad Sharif in Kenya on October 23, 2022.

ISPR Press Release as reported by some channels:

Claims being made on social media related to the assets of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family are totally untrue and based on blatant lies.

Misleading data regarding the assets of army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family have been shared on social media. These misleading figures are exaggerated and based on assumptions.

A specific group has very cleverly and dishonestly associated the assets of General Bajwa’s daughter-in-law’s father and family with the army chief and his family. An incorrect impression is being created that these assets were created by army chief General Bajwa’s family during his six-year tenure. It is totally untrue, based on blatant lies and malice.

All the assets of the army chief, his wife, and his family have been declared to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The army chief and his family regularly file tax returns. Like every citizen, the army chief and his family are accountable to the tax authorities for their assets.
