Fact Focus calls upon General Qamar Bajwa to prove the inaccuracies in its report on his assets and to present evidence to support his claims instead of relying on ISPR to release misleading statements.
Fact Focus challenges General Bajwa to prove any incorrect attributions made in their story regarding the assets of the army chief, his wife, daughter-in-law, or any of his family members Instead ISPR to issue twisted and dodgy statements. Fact Focus stands by its claims and invites General Bajwa to present any evidence of inaccuracies.
Fact Focus stands by each and every point of its story and challenging General Bajwa to refute any specific errors or inaccuracies and provide proof, just as Fact Focus has backed up its claims with solid documentary evidence.
As to when these assets were made, a letter from Ayesha Amjad to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) confirms that she had no income before the financial year 2016. She wrote this letter in response to questions from FBR officials when she suddenly declared an income of Rs 6.96 million. Mahnoor became a filer and a billionaire just nine days before her marriage to Saad Bajwa. Fact Focus’s story also includes the timeline of Sabir Hameed (Mithu) acquiring assets, as evident from his tax records.

No media house in Pakistan is permitted to broadcast the “Fact Focus” story about the assets accumulated by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Bajwa. Media outlets serving as proxies for the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) have released the ISPR’s statement without even contacting Fact Focus. The PMLN government blocked the Fact Focus website in Pakistan immediately after the story was released on November 20, but it was restored the next day due to public pressure. However, there are still some errors on the network of different providers across the country and some users are facing difficulties accessing the website, which has slowed down the process of uploading the remaining documents related to the family members of Sabir Hameed (Mithu). Fact Focus plans to release all remaining documents today. It is a well-known fact that Sabir Hameed (Mithu) ruled government departments and the real estate sector in Punjab for six years in the name of the army chief General Qamar Bajwa. Fact Focus has simply provided people with the documentary evidence of this.
As the ISPR has talked about transparency in its release, it is expected to now release the complete tax returns and wealth statements of COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his two sons, Saad Bajwa and Ali Bajwa. If the wealth statements of legislators can be released, there should be no problem with the release of the wealth statements of the army chief and his family. Last year, Fact Focus reported a story that detailed the business ventures of the first cousins of General Qamar Javed Bajwa with Malik Riaz and the central characters of the Broadsheet scandal. The story explained how Colonel (Ret.) Naeem Ghumman, a cousin of General Bajwa, planned to launch his own airline, Gwadar Air, despite having a weak financial background. Fact Focus will also release the financial documents of all members of the Bajwa family today.

The ISPR is not responding to Fact Focus’ questions and only issuing releases to its controlled media outlets. The Director General of the ISPR, Major General Babar Iftikhar, has not even responded to Fact Focus’ questions regarding a connected issue of a meeting between COAS General Qamar Bajwa and the head of ARY Salman Iqbal in the United States in the first week of October, a few days before the murder of Arshad Sharif in Kenya on October 23, 2022.
ISPR Press Release, as reported by some channels:
Claims made on social media regarding the assets of the COAS, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and his family are completely false and based on blatant lies.
Misleading data regarding the assets of General Bajwa and his family has been shared on social media, but these figures are exaggerated and based on assumptions.
A specific group has very cleverly and dishonestly linked the assets of General Bajwa’s daughter-in-law’s father and family with the army chief and his family, creating an incorrect impression that these assets were created by General Bajwa’s family during his six-year tenure. This is completely untrue and based on blatant lies and malice.
The assets of the army chief, his wife, and his family have been declared to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The army chief and his family regularly file tax returns and, like every citizen, they are accountable to the tax authorities for their assets
